Since launching in 2019, we've grown into a designer brand with an expanding international presence, with collections carried by Nordstrom and select retail partners.

 

The Opportunity

Joining ISRAELLA KOBLA means becoming part of a small, collaborative team where craftsmanship, precision, and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in luxury garment production while receiving hands-on training and mentorship. You'll support both sample development and small-batch production, playing an essential role in bringing each collection to life.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare, lay, mark, and cut fabrics for sample development and small-batch production.

  • Read and interpret patterns, lay plans, and cutting instructions to ensure accuracy.

  • Ensure all fabric components are cut accurately, labelled, bundled, and prepared for sewing. 

  • Inspect fabrics before cutting and identify any flaws or inconsistencies.

  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Sample Maker throughout product development and production.

  • Maintain accurate fabric usage and minimize material waste while following established cutting procedures.

  • Learn and apply ISRAELLA KOBLA's quality standards, cutting techniques, and production processes.

 

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • Diploma or certificate in Fashion Techniques, Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern pieces, and fabric handling.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously develop new skills.

Assets

  • Previous experience in a production, sample room, or fashion manufacturing environment.

  • Experience working with woven and knit fabrics.

  • Familiarity with industrial cutting equipment.

Role Details

  • Part-time, permanent

  • ISRAELLA KOBLA studio, 250 Augusta Avenue, Toronto, ON

  • Tuesday to Thursday with occasional overtime during collection launches

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada [Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid work permit]
